about
I wrote this song in 2017 while thinking about the pending Christmas season. Being fully aware of the fact that not everyone relishes the Holidays for one reason or another, I wanted to tap into that sentiment, and create a song that opens the listener's eyes and heart to this unfortunate reality.
A Christmas for All is the result, and not intended to bring anyone down, but to raise awareness of the difficulties that many of our fellow humans endure during the Holidays, more often than not in silence.
God bless!
lyrics
Christmastime is here
That special time of year
And festive ways that fill the days
With peace and joy and cheer
Together old and young
A yuletide song is sung
With smiles and toys for girls and boys
But not for everyone
While reveling with kith and kin
In a warm and loving home
Please bear in mind that that’s the kind
Of blessing some have never known
Too many do without
Of this there is no doubt
Don’t close your eyes and walk on by
That’s not what life’s about
While loved ones fill our hearts and homes
We build our memories
With warmth and food and hope renewed
Let’s not forget the least of these
And while we have our fun
Remember those with none
So heed the call of peace to all
Together all as one
And love them all both big and small
Together we are one
God bless us, everyone
