This is the one and only cover tune on this record. It's a song written by William Moore in 1928.
I used to do this number with my dear friend, Bill Weiner, several years ago when we had a little duo thing going on. I had talked to Bill about being on this record, which he was excited to do, but sadly, he passed away before I could get him into the studio. We had done a few demo tracks about ten years prior, so I reached out to that studio on the outside chance they still had the session files. Lo and behold, they were able to find the files, and graciously sent them to Music Garden studios where I re-recorded the harmonica part, and we remixed the track into what you now hear.
Not only was Bill an extremely special human being, he was a veritable genius, and a living encyclopedia when it came to prewar Country Blues. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am to be able to include this track on my record!
